(aside: wow, i think this is my first time actually starting a thread on this forum and not just replying to a post- sure hope the Real Ones will still see it after VERY NEARLY 2 whole years since this place's inception)
team fortress 2! casual recently became playable again, so a lot of people are getting back into the game, which is awesome! tf2 is so fun.
one group of my friends has started playing regularly, so i've been joining them a lot of the time!
coming back to the game, i've realized dustbowl and frontier are my favorite maps.
i'm really obsessed with dustbowl honestly, the long stalemate-laden rounds really make it feel like you're in the fucking trenches, and when you finally coordinate a big push for the win, or manage to STOP a big push on defense, it's probably the most rewarding thing in the game, i feel like. and dustbowl is ripe for a lot of very very bad complete stomps where you just completely roll or get rolled by the other team, but all of those shitty rounds are worth it for the few times you get an absolutely incredible 40-minute-or-whatever grueling back-and-forth. (yeah, this is my idea of fun, which is why i think i'd probably really dig the Souls games.)
i've also realized i really like playing scout! i will always pick scout unless a match is in a state where scout wouldn't actually be able to do much. getting kills with him and being able to get away with stupid shit and run away from it is just so gratifying
otherwise, the classes i've been playing the most are soldier, engineer, demo, pyro, and sniper, kind of in that order in terms of frequency. so, yes, i've been "mostly playing" 6 out of the 9 classes. i'll even play the others, but those 6 are the selection of classes that i cycle through depending on what exactly my mood is at the moment. the other 3 are just much rarer for me to pick.
let's talk tf2, man. where making this hapen.
