Re: MSPFA recommendation zone
i don't think i ever saw this thread!
you all here probably already know my top rec, for sure- the tapestry has been ongoing for 7 years now, isn't that fucking crazy? it's a whole cavalcade of neat ideas about homestuck jammed down the throat of a separate in-depth sci-fi worldbuilding project, which is also grafted onto another decades-old sci-fi worldbuilding project in the form of monckat's spore universe. it's awesome, enough said! i'm even coming to appreciate it a lot more as i revisit homestuck and finally grasp all of its cool meta themes that i didn't really care about when i first started reading it.
aside from that, autopraxis is a recent up-and-comer that seriously beats ass, by the now-wizened and matured creator of hexane, audrey! i never read hexane, but i know a lot of people liked it back in the day for being a huge sburbventure that does the game "right", and i think autopraxis promises to do the same (holy crap, over 400 pages in 4 months! with almost-daily updates), if in a much more measured and smart way than hexane did. i don't actually care about hexane, that's mostly just me trying to find reasons why you should read it, but really you should read it because it's good. everything about it is just great-- art, animation, music, writing, characters, cool sburb shit that makes you go "whoa hey whoa whoa whoa hey what? that fucking rules?"
