dreamt i was voice calling with some friends and showing off random shit in my house, and we got to these legos under my couch. everyone was like "yo those things are so cool..." and i was like "oh yeah i got these from last year's rift!" and everyone chuckled.

then later i did some research and realized "rifts" werent a known thing publically and they probably thought it was a quirky joke. to be sure i checked if the phenomenon was known by any other name by googling "can parallel universes intersect with ours" and finding out google's answer was no.

it turned out that approximately every year or so my mom and I's house would become the point where a hole in space opened. and if you entered it, you'd be transported to a seperate space where you could fight creatures based on the advertising culture and products of a different world. Defeating them would see randomly dropped merchandise, which is how I had Legos even though my friends had never seen such a thing before.

There were others details once I noticed that. Like how I had a spear hung in every room in the house, just in case the rift came early. Or how my cupboard had this weird red cereal(?) in it with an extremely vulgar rant on the side of the bag. I was afraid to eat it because I didn't know if it was good for humans for my world, even though the packaging rant called the reader a "wusslet" if they wouldn't try it just because it looked funny.

had a dream that i was playing a problem sleuth point n click video game. it seemed like it was about to end because all the puzzles i could see were done but suddenly and abruptly i unlocked the ability to see the opposite wall by trying to move towards the viewer. and then i discovered i had only gotten through like a fifth of the first act. it was kinda based.

I dreamt that challenging someone to a board game made a text box appear in the air that listed rewards for winning or losing and losing was Always death. The reward for winning varied, but was most frequently esoteric shit like "1 SKILL POINT".

So naturally i played the Changed boardgame on tabletop simulator (which does not exist btw) with my friend jams, because it was a pure chance-based and very fast game. it was like 2 am and my laptop started dying mid-game, so i went inside to charge it, and mom was there like dude wtf are you doing its 2 am. And she kept sorta preventing me from charging my laptop with a bunch of questions that i felt obligated to answer.

We started playing chess so I could prove to her it was real, but then i started slowly dying because i had abandoned my game of the Changed boardgame on tabletop simulator, so I played chess really fast and panicked, and then lost and died faster.

Of note: the changed boardgame on tabletop simulator was a dice rolling game where you chase each other around a monopoly board of hallways, and some tiles can be flipped into black Goop tiles that do.... i didn't get to find out. also, jams and I were in voice chat kind of losing it together over the absurdity of board games to the death being the way magic happened.

bad explanation because im copying it right off of the convo i said it in, and i had just gotten out of bed.

had a dream there was this whole other story thing in adventure time about another princess bubblegum. she wouldnt ever do anything special or hang out with finn and jake like pb, she was just there in the background sometimes.
she was a bit shorter, kind of like when pb got young, but was still old, and had a smaller crown split thing, the branch with the blue jewel.
she got a lore episode where it was revealed that like, she was a failed experiment of princess bubblegum trying to create more bubblegum people, way after gumbald and those guys. she couldnt get it to work, so she just left all of these dozens of pb clones with varying levels of success to roam around in a cinnamon house, in the middle of some dark woods.
one of the clones, the main one from the dream, broke out after some mutant wolf thing ate its way into the house and ate all of the other clones, and she just happened to walk her way out of the woods into whatever place i was in in the dream. it was a weird mix of the green hills the treehouse is at and the candy kingdom, the grass was some weird shade of lime.
there was also a reverse ice king, that had the same exact color scheme except had no clothes or crown, and used fire magic.
pretty lanky and his head was entirely hair and beard, with just a hair nose, 3 eyes and mouth sticking out.
the fire ice king guy was kinda friendly too, he looked mad but all he did was like light a pot of water on the stove in finns house and dip.

i also did a drawing of the 2 main designs i remember.

had a dream once where ronald mcdonald was breaking into my house every 10 minutes and i'd have to hide for 3 or he'd find me and teleport me to his surgery room and remove another of my organs. he told me i couldn't escape him but I could hide or run if i wanted to
